Threading

Threading is another form of hair removal. It's fairly simple, but takes a lot of practice in order to perfect. I learned it in less than a week by watching videos on youtube and practicing. It does take a lot of practice for your hand to get used to it. It's less painful (to the area being targeted), quicker, and more effective. However, I still prefer plucking. The string just hurts my fingers too much. Try it out and see how it goes for you...All you need is regular string.

Miley Cyrus - Oscars

My god, this dress was not working for her at all! Looks like something for a 50 year old woman, and that cleavage is just too much. Her face is aite.. at least there's not too much makeup. The dress looks too princess-y, like dandruff flakes, artichoke, a pinecone, a christmas tree, a cabbage, fish scales, oh the possibilities..

BEST Foundation - Hands Down-

Over the years, there have been numerous foundations formulated and hyped up to be the "best new thing," while many have failed to see the ultimate best foundation that's been right under their noses for ages. Without a doubt, I am convinced (and many will agree) that CHANEL produces the best quality foundations in the market. People are constantly on the quest to find a foundation that not only covers well with a natural finish, but also feels light on the face. Many turn their heads at this pricey brand but it is a superb investment considering you only need to use a little bit of product for good results. It has a silky creamy texture that spreads well and covers any blemishes you may have. You may still need to use concealer for scars and undereye circles, but it takes care of redness and pimples. This product has very good coverage and does NOT look cakey. I have used heavy powder for years because of the ineffectiveness of my older foundations. However, I feel no need to use tinted powder with this product, because it covers so well! If anything, I'll use some loose powder to prevent shine. Really consider purchasing this product, you won't be disappointed! CHANEL has 3 popular foundations - Mat or Pro Lumiere and Teint Naturel. They all work well.

Crest White Strips Review

If you have sensitive teeth, I advise that you stay away from Crest White Strips, unless you're willing to go through the pain. What pain, you ask? Here's my experience --

After using the product for the first time, my teeth were left with aching pain for 24 hours non-stop. You're supposed to use 2 strips a day but the pain convinced me one was enough... The next day, I was hopeful that my teeth were a little bit more used to the product and wouldn't hurt as much, so I went ahead and used it again. Once again...I was in pain for the rest of the day. I even ended up getting a headache.

So my advice to you is - save up for a professional consultation to get your teeth whitened at the dentist's (most use Zoom). This way, the dentist can determine what degree of the product is best for your teeth. But be cautious that Zoom may lead to sensitivity and pain also, but at least you won't have to re-experience it for a week.

Another alternative is using whitening toothpastes and/or whitening mouthwashes (the new Whitening Listerine Mouthwash supposedly works well).

I'd probably have to say Christian Dior's Pure Poison is my favorite perfume. It's smell is so hypnotizing, seductive, and unique. It has Sweet Orange, Bergamot of Calabre, Mandarin of Sicily, Orange Flower, Jasmine Sambac LMR, Hydroponic Living Gardenia, Sandalwood, White Amber, and Musk in it. And it lasts for days on your clothes even with 1 spray! I purchased mine from Sephora. But they also sell em at Macys.

My second favorite is I think Nina Ricci. It's really fruity but not the gross strawberry-milkshake-puke kind of fruity. It consists of Calabrese Lemon, Cipirinha Lime, Red Toffee Apple, Vanilla Infusion, Moonflower, Peony Petals, Apple Tree Wood, and Cotton Musk. So you could just imagine how insane it smells. But it's still really feminine and addicting. I always take a few sprays at Sephora when I get the chance.. try it next time!

Acne - Murad 3 Step Cleanser

Murads 3-step cleanser seriously works! I only got up to the first step and already saw a difference. It prevented acne and reduced whatever was left. As soon as I stopped using it, the acne came back (once again, probably cause I didn't do the full 3 steps). The first step, is like a scrub. It reduced 99% of surface bacteria in less than a minute. It has Salicylic Acid (1.5%) and Green Tea Extract to soothe the skin. Within a week or so you will notice a difference.


The second step, is an Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel. It also has 1.0% Salicylic Acid. The Retinol and Glycolic Acids help control breakouts. Overall, this helps heal blemishes and reduce breakouts.



The final step, is a Skin Perfecting Lotion. It hydrates, softens irritated skin, and moisturizes. The Arnica helps heal the irritated skin, and its Retinol and Queen of Meadow Extract prevents oily skin and tightens pores. You can purchase these at Bath and Body Works. Toners

A "toner" is applied to the face with a cottonball after cleansing. Toners close and tighten pores after they have been expanded and irritated during the cleansing process. Toning also prevents oiliness because it tightens the pores and therefore prevents oil from escaping through the skin.

Commonly used, effective toners:

BEST facial cleanser to date!

Clinique's Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser is THE best cleanser. It removes everything from your face! It is 5 oz. and will last you a year. You only need a pea-sized amount. It also gets rid of pimples! It leaves your face squeeky clean (literally, you can hear the squeeking)!

Lemon Scrub/Mask

This scrub works miracles at getting rid of acne/blemishes and literally makes your skin glow!

What you'll need:

• Freshly sliced lemon.


• Sugar (preferably brown sugar)
  

Process:

1. Do not wash your face prior to this scrub. If you have anything on your face, wash it off two hours beforehand.


2. Get a slice of lemon and rub it all over your face while squeezing the juice out. Make sure your whole face is covered with the lemon juice.


3. Pick up a sufficient amount of sugar with your fingers and lightly scrub it all over your face in small circular motions.


4. Leave everything on your face for 15-20 minutes.


5. Wash off with cool water. Don't apply anything to your face until the following day. Avoid being in the sun. Your skin will be sensitive after the citric acid exposure, so be gentle.

Lip Plumpers

In the past I have tried a looot of lip plumpers. The only one that seems to work is Too Faced. It burns like hell, but thats probably why it actually works! Definitely worth the money.


I then tried the "Extreme" Lip Plumper, which didn't work for me at all! Ironic huh? So this just proves that you have to test them out yourself, and see which works best for you. I got mine from Sephora.

Beauty Tip - Oily Skin?

Try MAC's Green Gel Cleanser. It seriously works, I even stopped using it after 2 weeks or so because it made my skin a bit too dry (but now it's fine lol). So really give it a try, it's worth the 20 bucks! And remember to always moisturize! Try to get a moisturizer with sunscreen in it if you can :]
